THINK, EXPLAIN, CONFIRM
Daily Spiral Review
Practice important ideas, explain the reasoning, and support one another.

Practice shaped by the children in front of me
Each evening, I write approximately five questions using students’ names, interests, and the learning needs I have noticed. The first question is accessible to everyone, giving each child a confident starting point.
We revisit similar problems over time, adjusting the practice as students grow, until most students demonstrate mastery. The review gives me daily information about what needs more attention.
Finishing is only the beginning
Think independently
Try the questions and make your reasoning visible.
Explain to one partner
Compare answers, defend strategies, discuss differences, and revise together.
Confirm with a second partner
Explain again and check your understanding with someone new.
Check and support
I check the work after the conversations. Students who finish become peer tutors.
